Ladies firsts home v Watsonians(Mon, Oct 31,'11)

A fine win for the home side when the Myreside madamemoiselles visited Grange Towers. In fact I dont recall Grange 1 beating 'sonians firsts before. Ever. Richard Hungerford and a few spectators witnessed this breakthrough from the balcony.

3-2, 15-12 on points. The tab for food & drink for the night was £13 incl scrummy home-made key-lime pie from Anna Gaskell.

The tab was bigger than normal, due to one of the visitors enjoying an extravagant glass of wine ;-)

Sounds like a good close match.

The ladies' division one could be really tight this season, unless ESC1 bring in all of their top players.

Even if they did, I can't see anyone beating Grange after they'd eaten an extra large pizza, key-lime pie and drunk a couple of bottles of wine.

Well played to the Grangers.

4 of the 5 teams are tightly packed. I predict that Ladies Div 1 will be the dramatic division this year, especially if ESC don't get the big guns out consistently.
A top night out for £1 a head, I'm almost tempted to root out my tutu, if my standard of play was any good.
